We are 10th graders from Brentwood High School. We make up the Destination Imagination team called “The Creative Potatoes.”

Destination Imagination is an international organization with over 100,000 student participants from 30 countries and teaches life-long skills in teamwork, creative thinking, and STEM.

We have been working together on this challenge since October. Our team won 1st place in the Regional tournament this March. That win guaranteed us a trip to the Global Finals, which will be at the end of May in Kansas City, MO. Over 8,000 students from 48 states and 15+ countries will be there showcasing their challenge. See globalfinals.org for more information.

Our team is participating in the engineering challenge called In the Cards. We have to design and construct a bridge out of playing cards and duct tape only, that holds a load sent across it using technical methods. We incorporate the bridge and load testing into our presentation about an unexpected connection.

We are really excited about this opportunity. For us to attend Global Finals, we have to raise $8,000. Keep an eye on our website to learn about more ways you can help!
